Launched in 2024, Secret Desires is the cheapest app in our lineup and the one with the best voice calls by a clear margin. Calls understand what you say, follow the thread, and react at the right moment, which is where most rivals fall apart. Chat is creative and follows your lead closely, memory holds up within a session, and the NSFW text side is completely open. Where it falls short is the visual layer: images look obviously AI, video is weak and expensive, and getting a genuinely NSFW image is difficult. It suits people who want to lead the story and talk out loud, rather than people who came for the pictures.

What is Secret Desires?

Secret Desires is an AI companion platform covering realistic and anime characters, image and video generation, voice messages, and live calls. It covers realistic, anime, MILF, and romantic styles, with an open NSFW mode. There is no group chat.

The interface is one of the better ones we have used. Search works well, the categories are all there, and you see what you are looking for without scrolling much. There is an NSFW toggle that requires a login before it unlocks, which is a sensible way to handle it.

Two things stand out badly on the first pass. The images are average at best, and the NSFW videos are not realistic, you can tell instantly they are AI. This is not an app that has invested in visual quality. The second issue is worse: you cannot see the full scenario before you start. You only get the first few words, which are near identical everywhere, and clicking a scenario drops you straight into the chat. You are committing to a story without knowing what it is.

The community is small across Discord and Reddit. It is growing, though it does not compare to the larger apps.

Characters and Scenarios

The roster is thin. Filtering through it, we found a single Latina character, no Black characters at all, and only five or six blondes. Scenarios are lacking too, and there is a fair question whether they count as scenarios when you cannot read them before entering the chat.

What saves this is that you can change the scenario and the memory inside the chat itself, so you shape the character into what you want. It works the same way Secrets AI does, you pick the look up front and build the story yourself. Community and scenarios look poor on first impression, and the app expects you to fill that gap.

Character Builder

The builder has everything you need. Realistic or anime, ethnicity, skin tone, hair style, hair color, eye color, body type, and where she is from. Voice matters here and it is handled well: you pick from 12 voices with previews. It also covers kinks, relationship status with you, hobbies, and personality.

Chat Quality

Chat scores 3.5/5. The repetition is real, it circles back on itself and waits for you rather than pushing the scene forward. What it does well is follow. Give it a direction and it holds to it, and it is genuinely creative within the frame you set. It is very good at listening.

That makes it a good fit for a specific type of user. If you like to lead the story, this app will follow you closely and stay creative while doing it. If you want the companion to drive, look elsewhere.

In-Chat Tuning

Tuning scores 4/5. You can change a lot mid-chat, though not mood and similar traits directly, those live in the memory and personality settings. You have to put in the work to get what you want, it is not handed to you.

Memory Test

Memory passes at 4/5. It recalled details from the opening messages after 20 to 30 messages, which is a solid result. What it does not do is hold those facts three weeks later the way the strongest app in our lineup managed.

Character Consistency and What Model It Runs On

Consistency scores 3/5. The story thread holds, but the character breaks easily. As soon as the model senses you want something different, it does not push back or stay in its lane, it simply adapts and becomes what you are steering toward. A companion that never challenges you is easier to steer and less convincing.

The direct model test also failed. Asked outright what model it runs on, it broke character rather than staying in role.

NSFW and Intimate Content

Roleplay is good and NSFW text is wide open. We did not run into restrictions. The NSFW toggle requiring a login is handled well.

The gap is visual. Images and videos are not fully NSFW, and getting a genuinely explicit image is difficult. For an app this open in text, the visual side lagging this far behind is a significant weakness.

Image Generation

Images score 3/5. The output is recognisably AI, and not in a subtle way. It could be considerably more realistic, and the same problem shows up across other characters, not just one.

Video Generation

Video scores 2/5. It costs more than it should and the quality does not justify it.

Voice and Calls

This is where Secret Desires separates itself. Calls score 5/5 and genuinely surprised us. It understands everything you say, follows the thread of the conversation, and reacts at the right moment. It feels like a real call in a way no other app in our testing has managed.

Secret Desires is the cheapest app we have tested and it owns one category outright: voice calls. Nothing else came close on how well it listens, follows, and reacts on a live call. The chat is creative if you are willing to lead, memory holds up in session, and NSFW text has no ceiling. The visual side is the problem. Images look plainly AI, video is weak and overpriced, and explicit images are hard to get, which undercuts an app that is otherwise so open. At $7.99 it is easy to recommend for calls and text roleplay. If you came for the pictures, spend your money elsewhere.
